Body confirmed to be that of Alicia DeBolt

GREAT BEND, Kansas – Attorney General Steve Six announced during a press conference this morning that a body found just outside of Great Bend Tuesday evening is in fact that of missing 14-year-old Alicia DeBolt.

DeBolt had been missing since Saturday night when she left her home to attend a party with a 19-year-old friend.

Steve Six said the body was positively identified after an autopsy in Wichita Wednesday evening. Six said an autopsy had to be done to make the identification because it had been burned.

While Six says the investigation is ongoing, he said law enforcement officials do not believe it was a random act of violence.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen or spoken with her Saturday night to contact police.

'No Angels' singer Nadja Benaissa found guilty for hiding HIV from unprotected sexual partners
No jail for "No Angels" singer in HIV rap.

Nadja Benaissa, German pop singer with the girl band 'No Angels'

Nadja Benaissa, a member of the popular German girl band, won't be heading to prison despite

Nadja Benaissa is a member of a popular girl
band in Germany, ' No Angels '
being found guilty of having unprotected sex with men and failing to inform them she was HIV positive.

A court in Germany spared the 28-year-old of jail time, and instead sentenced her to a two-year suspended sentence, according to the German news agency, ddp
Benaissa was on trial for grievous bodily harm and attempted aggravated assault.

The one-time pop star was tried
in juvenile court because the sexual encounters began when she was 17, which is also the age she was when she learned she had HIV after a pregnancy test.
The single mother was accused of having sex with three men from 2000 to 2004, one of whom became infected with HIV.

"I never wanted this to happen to any one of my partners," Benaissa said during a statement read to the court last week.

"I'd been told the likelihood of infecting someone or that I would develop [AIDS] was more or less zero," she said. "For that reason I kept the news even from my close group of friends [as] I didn't want my daughter to be stigmatized."

Although she did not directly admit to concealing her condition from her sexual partners, she said it was "possible" the accusations were true.

"No Angels" is one of Germany's most successful girl bands, after finding fame through an "American Idol"-like talent show. The band has several hit singles, with nine albums under its belt since 2001.
Elin Nordegren Woods joins the club
Tiger’s ex breaks silence — how disappointing

Elin Nordegren Woods was thisclose to rising above it all.

But the Greta Garbo of golfers’ wives broke her nearly yearlong silence, giving People magazine an exclusive interview nine months after her husband, Tiger Woods, was outed as a sex-crazed philanderer with a mistress waiting on every back nine.

“My Own Story: WORLD EXCLUSIVE! Elin Nordegren reveals the heartbreak of the past nine months and how she stays strong.”

Welcome to celebrity, Elin. I hope you scored a decent swag bag.

The former swimsuit model and nanny who - even before Tigergate - was mum with the media, told People that “being a private person is the only normalcy.”

Yet, she was the one who approached the magazine and sat down for 19 hours to set the record straight a day after her divorce from Tiger was finalized.

Funny how the self-proclaimed “private people” finally tell all to celebrity magazines with high circulations. How come no one’s ever confessed to Charlie Rose?

Darrelle Revis and Jets still far apart on deal, Steve Sabol says 'Hard Knocks' is part of blackout

The chatter surrounding an impending blockbuster deal for Darrelle Revis was reduced to a whisper Wednesday.

Despite reports over the past several days that the Jets' All-Pro cornerback was on the verge of signing a new deal, the Daily News has learned that both sides still remain far apart in financial terms 25 days into his holdout. In other words, there's nothing new on the negotiation front.

Contrary to reports, the Jets and Revis' camp did not meet Tuesday night to put the finishing touches on a reworked deal. The cornerback also did not appear on "Hard Knocks" Wednesday night.

Woody Johnson, who was in Atlanta Wednesday for the NFL owners' meetings, characterized the situation as "status quo" to the NFL Network.

Said Rex Ryan after practice at Hofstra: "I'm not going to talk about Revis. Both sides agreed to that."

Steve Sabol, the president of NFL Films, which produces "Hard Knocks," told ESPN radio Wednesday that Revis wouldn't appear on the third episode of the HBO show. He admitted that HBO had no plans to add any late-breaking news if Revis had come to a contract agreement after the final version of the show was put together Wednesday afternoon.

"We're not news gatherers," Sabol said. "We're not really investigative reporters."

Revis, who has three years remaining on his six-year rookie contract, is looking to become the league's highest-paid cornerback. The Jets rewarded half of their nucleus in the past six weeks with new deals. Left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson signed a six-year, $60 million extension last month. HBO cameras captured Nick Mangold signing his new seven-year deal in the final few minutes of the episode Wednesday night.

There were several references to Revis on the third episode of the show, including Bart Scott's crack during a magic show on the team's final night in Cortland.

As the magician handed Mark Sanchez a deck of cards and reached inside his jacket, Scott said: "Make Revis show up. That would be a hell of a trick."

The Jets and Revis' agents imposed a media blackout two weeks ago after both sides took public swipes at each other.

Agent Neil Schwartz referred to Johnson's claim that he was "rebuffed" from attending an Aug. 6 secret meeting at the now-infamous Roscoe Diner as a "blatant joke." Ryan, in turn, characterized Schwartz's stance as a "blatant joke" and suggested the entire organization set up a town-hall-style meeting with Revis to hammer out a deal. Both sides issued a joint statement to keep talks under wraps shortly thereafter.

According to Sabol, the "Hard Knocks" crew wasn't excluded from the blackout.

"We don't want to affect contract negotiations," Sabol said. "Just like the rest of the media, we were part of the blackout. So we don't have anything to report in that area."

Website Wikileaks publishes '9/11 messages'

November 26, 2009

By BBC News[1]

A website has published what it says are 573,000 intercepted pager messages sent during the 9/11 attacks in the United States.

Wikileaks says it will not reveal who gave it the messages - some of which are from federal agencies as well as ordinary citizens.

Internet analysts say they believe the messages are genuine but federal authorities have refused to comment.

The attacks on 11 September 2001 left nearly 3,000 people dead.

The messages are being published over a 24-hour period, ending at 0800GMT on Thursday. They are being released simultaneously on Wikileaks and social networking site Twitter.

'Live' broadcast The website is broadcasting each message at the time it was sent originally in 2001.

The first message was from 0300 local time (0800 GMT), five hours before the first attack in New York and the last 24 hours later.

The messages are not all about the attacks. Some are mundane questions about what people are having for lunch.

However, many are about the deadly plane attacks and range from people trying to find out if their loved ones are safe, to government messages, to computer server errors.

They include messages such as

    * This is Myrna, I will not rest until you get home, the second tower is down, I don't want to have to keep calling you after every event. Pls just go home
    * President has been rerouted won't be returning to Washington but not sure where he will go
    * Bomb detonated in World Trade Ctr. Pls get back to Mike Brady w/a quick assessment of your areas and contact us if anything is needed

New York's fire and police departments said they could not comment on whether messages purportedly sent from them were genuine while the US Secret Service refused to comment.

Pager company USA Mobility said it was troubled by the alleged interceptions, the Associated Press news agency reported.

Wikileaks allows people to anonymously post documents on the web, saying its aim is to promote transparency.

It was created in 2006 by dissidents, journalists, mathematicians and technologists from the US, Taiwan, Europe, Australia and South Africa.

Wikileaks spokesman Daniel Schmitt said the messages were submitted anonymously to the site several weeks ago.

He told Associated Press: "From the context information that the source provided we have strong reasons to believe that this is valid data."

He said the messages would help provide a fuller picture of what happened that day.

Jailbreakme is one of the well known tool for your iPhone to get unlock or let’s say jailbreak. While reading some updates from Engadget for the Jailbreakme downtime, it seems Saurik upgraded the server that handles the said jailbreak added to that many reports or tweets that their phone got bricked after updating and yet other owners successful JBed theiriPhone.

‘Entourage,’ Season 7, Episode 5 ‘Bottoms Up’: TV Recap

Everett Collection
There are a number of ways for a movie star to self destruct, but on this week’s episode of “Entourage,” Vince goes the Charlie Sheen route: he dates a porn star. His new ladyfriend is Sasha Grey, who crossed over to mainstream roles with Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience” but is more famous for appearances in such classics as “Throat: a Cautionary Tale.” When Vince brings Grey to a studio meeting with legendary Marvel comic book writer Stan Lee — who pretends not to recognize her — the studio gets panicky that their star is Sheen-level reckless.

Lee is among several guest stars this week. Bob Saget makes one of his semi-frequent appearances, showing up at Eric’s office to say that he wants to co-star in the John Stamos sitcom. (Drama reacts to the news that his long-awaited star vehicle is being stolen by showing up to Saget’s house with a baseball bat.) And Jessica Simpson, Mike Tyson and Aaron Sorkin make appearances, playing clients of Ari Gold who are being wooed by ex-employee Lizzie.

Like his cameo in “The Hangover,” the Tyson scene is wonderfully ridiculous; he’ll stay with the agency if Ari secures him a TV gig — Iron Mike is thinking a “Brady Bunch” remake with him as the dad. Simpson, meanwhile, is through with Ari because he never called to offer condolences after her dog died. In groveling mode, he and Lloyd show up to her house with a replacement, but Simpson isn’t impressed. It’s a poo instead of a cockapoo.

Eric and Sloan have been idling in domestic mode this season, but they finally have an interesting storyline that revolves around — how do we say this — Eric’s budding interest in being a backdoor man. As actor Kevin Connolly told us recently, the beauty of the Sloan character is that she’s up for anything, so she agrees to give it a shot — although the experience doesn’t exactly play like a Sasha Grey film.
Perrey Reeves as Mrs Ari in Entourage 7 Episode 5

Perrey Reeves will act as Mrs Ari in the new episode of Entourage. Entourage is the one of the best Hollywood comedy shows on tv. This will be air at 21:30 ET on HBO.
Many entourage fans are excited to see this new episode. Perrey Reeves is the one of the best actress in the entourage. She was act with Adrian Grenier as Vince, Autumn Reeser as Lizzie, Jeremy Piven as Ari, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle, Kevin Connolly as Eric and many more.

UFC On Versus 2 : Jon Jones vs Vladimir Matyushenko Fight Video

There was an awful lot of hype leading up to Sunday night’s UFC on Versus 2: Jones Vs Matyushenko event, with many MMA fans putting Matyushenko down as the underdog and Jon Jones as UFC’s top prospect.

Clearly, the UFC is showcasing Jon Jones as this is his second time headlining on Versus. And it’s not a bad guy to showcase. I think everyone who enjoys this sport loves to watch this guy fight.

UFC Live 2 – Jon Jones vs Vladimir Matyushenko
Ultimate Fighting Championship
August 1, 2010
San Diego Sports Arena,
San Diego, California, United States
Well, it was quick and pretty much painless. Jones got an early takedown and got Matyushenko into a little brother/crucifix position and with his left arm, started rifling elbow after elbow at his head. Herb stopped it before Matyushenko looked like John Howard.

It was a short night for the prodigious talent, who barely broke a sweat in dismantling Vladimir Matyushenko with a salvo of elbows from top position at just 1:52 of the opening period.

Jones hit a takedown on his advancing opponent after landing a spinning back kick. He quickly moved into dominant position — a mounted crucifix that tied up both of Matyushenko’s arms. Once set up on top, Jones hammered the defenseless Matyushenko with no less than 10 elbows before referee Herb Dean felt it was time to end the barrage.

Winner: Jon Jones by way of 1st round TKO

After the fight, Jones said he trained “his butt off” because he knew that Matyushenko was a tough guy. He said that he hoped that Joe Silva and Dana White kick it up a notch in competition for him. When Joe Rogan pressed Jones for a name that he’d like to face, Jones just said that he trusted whomever Silva comes up for him.

Chelsea Clinton's Vera Wang wedding dress (pictures and video)

The past few weeks there have been much speculation over which designer Chelsea would choose for her wedding gown – Vera Wang or Oscar de la Renta. The big day has now passed, and we now know that Chelsea Clinton chose a gorgeous, romantic Vera Wang design for her wedding gown. Chelsea looked stunning as she walked down the aisle in her strapless ivory gown featuring a diagonally draped bodice, ball skirt made out of raw edged laser-cut swirling silk organza, and a train in silk tulle. A silver-jeweled embroidery accentuate her small waist, as a dramatic veil swept down her back, tying this picture-perfect look together.

The new Mrs. Marc Mezvinsky kept her hair and face subtle, pairing simple, fresh makeup with an upswept hairstyle, as to not distract from the dramatic gown. In addition to her striking ensemble, Chelsea carried a bouquet in a monochromatic ivory, a new trend of the fall season.

Not only did Vera Wang design this gown, but she was also present at the ceremony.

The New York Yankees look to extend their AL East lead at Tampa Bay
The New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays finish off their series in Tampa.

The Tampa Bay Rays looked to have the Yankees beat on Saturday and they were poised to be in the lead in the American League East, but it didn't work out that way for them as they let it all get away from them and ended up taking the loss. Matt Garza allowed five hits and four earned runs while striking out nine in seven innings of work to not factor in the decision but it was Rafael Soriano who came in to pitch the ninth and gave up the game winner and took his first loss of the year. Mathew Joyce hit his fifth home run of the year as John Jaso had three hits and Carl Crawford had two pace the offense in the losing effort. The loss leaves the Rays two games back in the American League East but they are five and a half games clear in the AL Wild Card race. For Sunday's game Tampa Bay starts James Shields who has rebounded from a massive losing streak and has won his last two starts. For the season Shields has allowed 154 hits and 72 earned runs while striking out 122 in 135 and a third innings of work.

The New York Yankees continue to show why they are the defending Wold Series Champions and why they have the best record in baseball as they came up with another big hit in another big game. Javier Vazquez allowed eight hits and four earned runs while striking out three to get a no decision as Dave Robertson ended up being the winner for the second time this season and Mariano Rivera got his 22nd save. Robinson Cano was the hero as he blasted a ninth inning home run to provide the difference maker. Mark Teixeira and Nick Swisher also hit homers as the Yankees made all six hits work for them. The win gives New York a two game lead in the East and means they will at worst leave Tampa Bay with the lead in the AL East. For game three against the Rays The Yankees start C.C. Sabathia who took a very rare loss last time out. For the season Sabathia has allowed 136 hits and 53 runs while striking out 124 in 151 and a third innings.

Tampa Bay is 7-0 in their last seven games following a loss, 5-1 in their last six home games against a team with a winning road record, 3-9 in Shields' last 12 starts, and 10-2 in their last 12 home games against a left-handed starter. New York is 11-3 in their last 14 road games, 7-3 in their last 10 road games against a right-handed starter, 4-1 in Sabathia's last five road starts, and 56-24 in their last 80 against the AL East. Tampa Bay is 0-5 in Shields' last five starts against New York.

The Yankees showed the world why they are the team to beat as they got the hits when they needed them and once they got there, it was all Mariano Rivera. Shields is not having a good year and this looks like a bad spot for him.

Mitch's Pick: New York Yankees
Officials Say Midwest Spill Will Take Months to Clean

Crews cleaning up oil from a ruptured pipeline along the Kalamazoo River on Friday in Marshall Township, Mich.
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (AP) — Officials investigating the cause of a huge oil spill along a major river in southern Michigan say that it will take months to clean up, and that damage to wetlands and wildlife may last considerably longer.

Enbridge Energy Partners, the owner of the ruptured pipeline that released the crude into the Kalamazoo River, says the spill is contained. Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm, who toured the affected area by helicopter on Friday, said the company’s handling of the problem had improved since she criticized it a few days ago.

“I can say there’s been significant progress,” Ms. Granholm said at a news conference. “I don’t want to suggest we are satisfied. We continue to ask for additional resources.”

Even as Enbridge shifts its focus toward cleaning up the oil, which it estimates at about 800,000 gallons, the company was preparing to remove the damaged section of pipe. The Environmental Protection Agency puts the size of the spill at more than one million gallons.

“There’s still a tremendous amount of work to do,” said Alan Roth, a spokesman for Enbridge, “but good progress is being made.”

The E.P.A. administrator, Lisa P. Jackson, said she was “very confident” that the oil would not reach Lake Michigan, about 80 miles from where the spill occurred.

Enbridge said that it had recovered 100,800 gallons of oil and that 420,000 gallons were in a holding area and would be pumped into tanks.

Federal and company officials said they were close to reaching the 40-foot section of pipe with the break, which has been inaccessible because it is in a marshy area covered in oil. Only when the pipe is reached will it be certain that the leak has stopped, said Ralph Dollhopf, the on-scene coordinator for the E.P.A.

Once removed, the pipe will be taken to a National Transportation Safety Board laboratory for tests, said Matt Nicholson, the agency’s lead investigator. A team from the E.P.A.’s Office of Pipelines and Hazardous Materials will be on site for up to 10 days, he said.

Scientists fear that the worst may be yet to come for fish in the river. Jay Wesley, a biologist with the State of Michigan, said the oil spill had killed fish in “very limited numbers” along the affected stretch of the river, from Marshall westward into Battle Creek.

The bigger problems for fish may come within a week or so, if the spill results in decreased oxygen levels in the water. Mr. Wesley said insects, algae, frogs and turtles had been killed in high numbers, which could hurt the fish food supply.

“The effects are probably going to be more long-term,” Mr. Wesley said. “We probably won’t know the full effects for weeks or months or years.”

The Marshall area has been considered a good area for bass fishing. Recreational anglers also fish the area for northern pike, catfish and suckers. Until the spill occurred, health officials considered fish taken from the waters from Marshall to Battle Creek all right to eat in limited amounts — unlike those from a downstream, westward stretch from Kalamazoo that is laden with PCBs and is on the federal Superfund list of highly contaminated areas.

MLB Trade Deadline Winners and Losers

In past years, bigger names have moved at the deadline, but this year will be remembered as a very busy one. Some names like Roy Oswalt, Lance Berkman and Ted Lilly found new homes and many solid prospects were on the move. In sports, it's all about winning and losing, and the deadline is no different.

This year, many of the teams we call "sellers" came out as winners, and some teams that were clear buyers came out as losers. So in the end, who came out on top at this year's trade deadline and who came away disappointed?

We've got all the answers below:

Trade Deadline Winners

YANKEES -- For the cost of not one premium-level prospect, the Yankees netted Berkman, Kerry Wood, and Austin Kearns. No matter what you think those three players will do for the Yankees, they are players with track records, and in Berkman's case with stellar track records. Mark Melancon is clearly the best piece they gave up and there are legitimate doubts about whether his command in the strike zone will come around enough for him to succeed at the big-league level.

Share21The Yankees also added players that could benefit tremendously from the spark of a pennant race. Berkman, in particular, although he may not be the force he once was, still has the juice in his bat to carry a lineup when he's hot. Obviously the Yankee lineup is not one that needs to be carried, but he gives New York yet another patient and very potent bat. As far as Kearns, he's another very typical Yankee addition. Their depth has always been their strength and clearly they refused to settle for a bench that consisted of Colin Curtis and Juan Miranda.

Then there is Kerry Wood, who in my mind is the wild card of the entire trading deadline. He has struggled in 2010, but his stuff is still outstanding and he has the ability to be a shutdown eighth-inning pitcher in New York. If the Yankees can keep him on the field, they've likely not only patched their biggest hole but made it a distinct strength in the process.

ASTROS -- Although they weren't buyers, this was a key trade deadline for the future of the Astros' organization. Notoriously conservative with their prospects, the Astros took some gambles in dealing away Oswalt and Berkman. They also picked up one of the safest and most potent hitting prospects in the minor leagues in Brett Wallace, who has the offensive skills to eventually fill Berkman's shoes very neatly.

The wild card for them is clearly Jonathan Villar, who they landed in exchange for Oswalt. Villar, who we discussed earlier in the week, has the potential to be a Gold Glove-caliber shortstop and provides explosive speed and excitement at the top of the lineup. He's a few years away from the big leagues, but immediately he is one of the highest upside players in the Houston farm system.
RANGERS -- Any team that acquires Cliff Lee mid-season is a winner before even making another move. But in the Rangers' case, they weren't done and were one of the busiest teams on the trade market. Let's not forget they also acquired Bengie Molina, Jorge Cantu, and Cristian Guzman along the way.
And even as buyers they were able to add at least one very interesting prospect, picking up righty pitching prospect Roman Mendez from the Red Sox in exchange for Jarrod Saltalamacchia. Considering the limited trade value they figured Saltalamacchia had, the Rangers have to be thrilled with landing Mendez. I had the chance to scout and highly recommend Mendez in my time with Texas last season, and despite his struggles this season, the hard-throwing 20-year-old is a very worthy project. He's known to reach triple digits at times with the fastball, and I had him sitting 93-98 mph last season.

Aside from the good heater, he flashed what appeared to be a split-changeup at 82-86 mph with diving action. It's still an inconsistent pitch, but it showed signs of being a plus offering down the road. His 76-80 mph curveball was even more unreliable, but he mixed in a few that flashed above-average. If he can gain some consistency with his secondary pitches, Texas will have a pitcher with frontline starter or closer potential in Mendez.

When you are looking to add pieces at the deadline and can still add a sleeper prospect, you are really doing your job. And the Rangers' big league additions in Cantu and Guzman in the last two days give them even more offensive depth.

NATIONALS -- It's often difficult to be a winner when you are a seller, especially when the team only makes one significant move in which it gets big league-caliber prospects in return. But Washington is a winner at this year's deadline for two reasons. For one, the Nationals stuck to their guns with Adam Dunn and they deserve a great deal of credit for that. They had every opportunity to move off their high price tag and they didn't budge. Now more than ever, power bats like Dunn have a great deal of value. Without getting a couple premium young players in return, they should not have dealt him.

As far as the other reason, the Nationals may have pulled off the heist of the entire trading season when they landed top catching prospect Wilson Ramos from the Twins for closer Matt Capps. While the Twins filled a big hole very neatly with Capps, you have to credit Washington for landing one of baseball's best catching prospects. The 22-year-old backstop has had a pedestrian season at Triple-A in 2010, but he's the type of talent you figure will come around eventually. Either way, it's clearly a gamble worth taking. Very rarely do you get a shot at a potential elite offensive catcher, and given the Twins' clear strength at the catching position with the presence of Joe Mauer, it was a unique opportunity for the Nats.

Trade Deadline Losers

RED SOX -- The Red Sox explored a number of avenues this year and for the most part came up empty aside from adding Saltalamacchia. And in the process they traded one of the best raw arms in their farm system in Mendez. They seem to be confident that their star players returning will be as good as a major trade, but with the Yankees and Rays rolling along and the Yankees making a few significant moves, Boston is in a very difficult spot heading down the stretch.

GIANTS -- San Francisco was looking in just about every direction for a bat, and in the end came away disappointed. The Giants did come away with two usable arms in Ramon Ramirez and Javier Lopez, but were unable to address their offense. Unable to pry away Dunn from the Nationals, the Giants looked into Kelly Johnson and Jose Bautista, among others. And although you can't blame them for not wanting to part with some of their young players, with their closest rivals making some key additions, the Giants have to worry about slipping back in the pack.
TIGERS -- It's been a difficult month for the Tigers, as they lost Brandon Inge and Magglio Ordonez to major injuries that made the deadline all the more important for Detroit. The Tigers did add some depth with Jhonny Peralta, who should be able to provide them with some right-handed pop, but they were unable to come away with the big fish they probably needed to fend off the Twins and White Sox with. They did some looking into players like Lilly, Dunn, John Buck and others but were unwilling to part with top prospects like Jacob Turner. Again, it's tough to blame them for that, and any team that has been struck by injuries like Detroit has is going to have a difficult time filling such big holes.
