Bollywood Hero(I.F.C 8 p..m) D-List "SNL" alum Christ Kattan stars in this scripted miniseries as D-list "SNL" alum Christ kattan.(well,at least i can buy premise).for the next few night ,he's trucked off to india to star in a ridiculous
songs- and-dance
epic ,but the joke is even boolywood doesn't what the screechy star of Corky Romano.the guy may not be funny, but he is self aware.

Friday 7
"Chefs vs city"( Food Network 8 p.m. ) Food Network adds another " versus" so to the pile ("Iron Chef," "Throwndown With Boby Flay," "Choped") with two chefs traveling the country and the chalenging assorted cook to prepare hometown favorites.

"Shark Tank"(KOAT-7 8 p.m.) No,ABC isn't horning in on discovery channel's Shark Week promotion-the network is actually remaking the British reality show " Dragons" Den. "Each Week(largerly deluded) inventors/business people try to weasel money from a panel of milionaire investors if tey get really lucky, the milionaires fight over the ideas.

Monday 10

“Teen Choice 2009” (KASA-2 7 p.m.) This is just a guess on my part, but I bet you’re going to hear the word Twilight an awful lot tonight.

“Popular Science’s Future of ... ” (Science 7 p.m.) In tonight’s premiere ep, the well-known magazine introduces us to the future of “play”—which will apparently include mixed-reality games, smart footballs, pervasive games, siftables and other words I don’t understand.

“Confessions of a Travel Writer” (Travel 7 p.m.) Yeah, travel writing is a pretty sweet gig. How do you land that job? ... Says the guy who gets paid to watch TV.

Tuesday 11

“Swords: Life on the Line” (Discovery 7 p.m.) Swordfishing? Yeah, it’s probably a little dangerous, but it’s no “Deadliest Catch.”

Chain Gang Girls 2 (WE 10 p.m.) Not a soft-core ’70s exploitation flick (dang!), but a documentary miniseries about actual women on an actual chain gang.

Wednesday 12

“Criss Angel: Mindfreak” (A&E 8 p.m.) To give the dude some credit, he did make his relationship with Holly Madison disappear pretty quickly.

First thing first

First thing first : " An Evening at the Carlyle "Isn't actually at the Caryle. It is performed at the Algonquin Theatre, which shouldn't be confused at the Hotel of the same name.
Instead Al Tapper
who's also -behind the long -running of- Broadway musical revue at the carlyle's famed Bemelmans Bar. Performed on aset that effectively suggests the swanky boite of its title including a cartoon representation of woody allen adn and his clarinet. " An Evening at the Carlyle " features a six- member cash performing two dozen original numbers revolving aound life in the big Apple. Three of the Performes --Amanda Gabbard,Michael F.McGuirk and Jason Rowland --play nearly a dozen people including Liza Minneli,An coulter, the Donald and the Barbra Streisands, who orders Manischewitz. The-vine voice Dannis Holland is Tommy, the seen it-all bartender. kelly maguire is the barfly whose theme song is the oft-reprised ." bundle of contradictions", and "sessions" star Rachelle Rak Shows up as herself, singing a number from that show in a blatant plug.
The songs a pleasantly melodic but unmemorable ,marred by awkward attemps at humor.Take, for example a liriyc from " roommates": " i'm a Jew and so a toolbox/is a mystery to me/it's lucky you're a gentile/you can fix the DVD.
The worst numbers are the celebrity lampoons ,such as the drunken Liza's "Under the Rainbow" or a predictably arrogant Donald's warblink "who'd Want NY With No Trump?".
Far better arethe nostalgia-Themed songs such as the loving numbers devoted to such hometown favorites as " The Sinatra Sound,"" joltin joe" and "Broklyn".
Despite the generaly fine efforts of it's ensemble," An Evening at the arlyle "is a luckluster affair. The $35 tickets price whould be better spent at the real Bemelmans an a couple of glasses of good wine.

AN EVENING AT THE CARLYLE Algonquin Theater, 123 E. 24th St.; 212-868-4444.

Cubs' Lou Piniella has no plans to remove Kevin Gregg as his closer

piniella not considering shake- up after Gregg's 2nd straight blown save.
MIAMI --managerLou Piniella insisted after sunday's los he's not contemplating a change in the closer's role.
"why should I?"he said.
Kevin Gregg suffered his second blown save in less than 24 hours on Sunday, after recording 10 straight save.while Gregg has been reliable in save situations the last two months.he has a relatively high earned -run everage of 4.17 and has serve up 10 homes run,the most by any NL reliever.
" unfortunately"it's part of the game,"Gregg said.you're going to mess up every now and then ,but I think I had(10) straight prior to this.so two on the wrong side and now let's get back on the right side."
Piniella 's only other viable option as closer would beCarlos Marmol, who has had his own problem trying to throw strike . Angel Guzman has been the Cubs' most consisten reliever but has no experience as a closer.
The cubs do have one former closer in the farm system but veteran left hander B.J. Ryan was signed to be a middle reliever.
Now's it's anyone 's gues as to weather Ryan will be called up at all.Asked after the game if the cubs have considered it,piniella gave a look of disbelief.
" we've got to lefties now ," he sad

'we've had one all year, and now we going to have three,?"
So that's a "no?"
" I don't make that decision," he replied.I haven't seen Ryan pitch or throw.whoever is watching can make those determionation."
Ryan has made three scoreless appearences at Tripple -AIowa, averaging 86 to 88 m.p.h. with his fastball ,it appeared as though he would eventually join Sean Marshall in the bullpen ,but the edition of Jhon Grabow lessens the need for a third lefty.
The Cub's must decided by aug 10 weather call up Ryan.Otherwise he can opt out of his contract and sign elsewhere .Ryan could also continue to pitch of iowa and wait until rosters are expanded in September.
